Sales Policy
A Wooden Nest Farm reserves first rights to retain kids from breedings. We reserve the right to cancel any sale at any time.
Goats are herd animals and need the companionship of other goats to ensure their wellbeing. We do not sell goats as singles unless there will be at least one other goat present in their new home.
Our herd has been tested for CL, CAE and Johne’s Disease. Kids that are listed will be disbudded, tattooed (if registered), hooves trimmed, and up-to-date with CDT vaccinations and coccidia prevention. We ensure our goats are healthy upon pickup, but due to the potential stress involved with travel and change in environment, we cannot guarantee the health of any animal after they leave our farm.
To hold a goat as pending, a 50% deposit must be made via PayPal or Venmo. If the animal becomes sick or injured before the agreed upon date, the deposit will be refunded. The remaining balance must be paid in full at the established pickup time. If the agreed upon date for pickup passes, we will continue to hold the animal for up to one week. After one weeks, your deposit will be forfeited and the animal will be re-listed or retained. All transport costs, health certificates, vet fees, etc. are the responsibility of the buyer.
Once an animal is sold, it can’t be returned due to biosecurity concerns, but we do request first rights of refusal if a registered animal you’ve purchased from our farm needs to be re-homed.
