Yep, you read that right. We’re moving out of our beloved 100-year-old home and onto some acreage. I’m going to miss our little home more than words can say. Come see what I’ve been knitting and dyeing to calm my moving anxiety:

Happy news! A new house, a homestead, it sounds wonderful! I too used to dream of this, then ended up marrying a man I had met a long long time ago and it happened that he is a farmer. So I pinch myself from time to time. I love my garden, and am finally learning to put things up this year, proper canning, although the waterbath kind. It is fun, and I wish you all the fun and good things with your new place! It is a lot of work. I have renovated a small house before, helped my folks with their "hobby farm" (hate that term as it is still a farm, regardless of whether it supports just the family or earns actual income, and during reno, had to cook in bathrooms … etc etc… so yes, it is hard! And I am doubtless not the only one out here who has gone thru this, so we are here to cheer you on and encourage you, and we are excited for your progress. How lucky your two girls will be to grow up there, truly a wonderful life. So, cheering you on! Best wishes, Lynne
